Fire Ban Throughout Township

Posted by NAW Fire Department on August 23, 2019 at 10:50 PM Comments comments (0)

Due to dry conditions the Fire Chief has instituted a complete ban on open air fires in the Township.  This includes campfires, wood or charcoal barbecues, brushpile burning, tiki candles and any similar open flame burning.

At this time small propane fire bowls are permitted if flames are kept low and the device is not near any combusitble materials.  Propane Barebecues are also permitted.  Please be cautious when using these appliances.

If you see open air burning during the ban please call 911 to ensure that the fire department can help to keep our beautiful township safe from the devastating effects of wildfire.
